These first three pictures are of some other orphans. You can see in this picture below some medicine that has been put on this boys upper lip. Very interesting purple color. 
This little boy wouldn't leave our sides as long as we were on the orphanage property. Nastia is showing off one of her bows.

We had a special visit today. After lunch we loaded into George's (Nadiya's husband) car. He drove Drew, Masha, Nastia and me to their babooshka's home. We met her and presented her with a couple gifts. She was very weepy when meeting us at first. She is attached to these girls and has essentially raised them until their mother died. After their mother died, she did not have the funds to raise the girls and had to put them in the orphanage. She was a very sweet woman. We talked for quite a while with her. She had to sign a document saying that she agreed with allowing the adoption to happen.

Masha, Jen and Nastia at Babooshka's home. We have a copy of this picture that Masha showed us in October when Masha was about 5 with her grandma. We wanted a picture of us in the same spot.
It was a great visit. We left feeling very loved and also loving their grandma more for all that she has done for the girls throughout their lives.

She was asking all kinds of questions about our beliefs and we hope that our translator shared with her our love for the Savior and that we are not that different from her. She was concerned at first that we had scripture in addition to the Bible. She said she had asked a priest at their local church that traveled to the United States regularly. He told her that we were very trustworthy people and that we would be good parents to her great-granddaughters. We now have a new grandma!

What a cute babooshka. I think that having family to go to-even if they cannot get the children out of the orphanage is SO important as they have some reference of love and kindness. I think that is why Alex is so easy to hug and love and why he craves it so, because he's been exposed to it with his brother. The girls are just darling and it looks like you're all having a great time. Can you even believe your there? It's sort of like an out of this world experience.
I'm still wanting to know what apartment you're in and how the weather is. It looks warm as you're wearing shorts but how warm is it? I ask because Alex is always telling me "hot" like he's never experience heat before and he refuses to play outside when it's "hot" and you and I both know it really hasn't been that hot yet.

what a wonderful experience to meet and start a relationship with their grandmother.
Wow, how special to go to her home and talk about the girls. You probably learn more and more about these girls every time you meet someone that was part of their lives and creating the complete story of how everything happened up to this point. You are so blessed to have these 2 sweet girls. You are going to be such a happy family. :)
