Home on July 23rd

We arrived home at 11 pm or so to Drew, the boys, Alex Lobos with his girls and David Howick. It was a very long day in airports and on planes. Nastia spilled an entire cup full of tomato juice in her lap on the flight from Ukraine to New York. It was such a mess and took a lot of wipes to get cleaned up. We didn't have a change of clothes in the carry ons for her so she sat in tomato juice pants for the remainder of the day with flights to Atlanta and Salt Lake City still to go. She never complained and was a trooper.

One thing I remember about this particular day was that we couldn't understand anything either of us was saying to one another. It was probably pretty humorous listening to the two of us try and make the other person understand what we were trying to say.

Nastia in the cockpit of the plane. The stewardess asked if my son wanted to see the cockpit of the plane. I told her "she" would love to. This was the best smile I could get from her. She and I weren't understanding each other very well at this point still. She didn't know what SMILE meant.

Home at last! I think this is about midnight on the night of the 23rd. Nastia, Bryce and Tyler. Doesn't she looked thrilled!

Bryce, Tyler, J.R. and Nastia with the balloons our wonderful neighbor brought over.

The kids in Nastia's room with more fun balloons.

The boys and mom showing her that she now owns more than one pair of underwear! This is the closet that we put a new wall into to seperate JR's and the girls closet space. It will be the perfect closet for two girls. It is 4x the size of mine!
